This cultivar, acquired from a Pennsylvania nursery some years ago
remains almost unknown. We like it very much for its unusual color.
Somewhat similar to 'Hogokyu' in summer color and habit, with sturdy
palmate leaves that are medium-dark green. Spring color and new
growth is a unique yellow-brown. Fall color is a good orange. Leaves
are less leathery than 'Hogokyu', rounder, and larger. A full
shrub to 12-15'
