Maples ordered in summer may have burned leaves, and look bad, but this is only temporary. Still, spring and especially fall are far better times to ship and plant than summer. We'll delay shipments when temperatures exceed 90 F.

Not a tiny dwarf at 6-10', but upright and willowy. A handsome shrub at any time, its claim to fame is several weeks of extraordinary hot pink color in the spring. Similar to Shindeshojo types in showiness, though of a much lighter tone, causing it to be known in some maple circles as Wilson's not-so-pink, not-so-dwarf. During summer, a light green shade mostly takes over, but red and pink tones remain on the old leaves and predominate on the new. Not among the more spectacular in fall, but quite unlike most other cultivars. Size
#1 trees ship after they leaf out, usually early to mid-April. |

Size
#3 trees are available
beginning September 1, and can be ordered until March 1. They are shipped bare-root
to save shipping costs. These trees are in very limited supply; many cultivars
are not available in this size. |
Orders
placed between mid-March and mid-June may take 3 weeks to ship. For faster
service, order in the fall, an excellent time to plant. We can ship in winter,
but read this to see if
it's a good idea for you. |
