New
cultivars:
Some newly offered cultivars MAY be added to our list after they leaf out
around mid-April. Others, including small, rare, and hard to graft cultivars,
may be added in September. Once a cultiver sells out, it remains so until
the following spring.
Maples ordered in summer may have burned leaves, and look bad, but this is only temporary. Still, spring and especially fall are far better times to ship and plant than summer. We'll delay shipments when temperatures exceed 90 F.
Another reticulated variegate that varies in color not only through the seasons and with the fertilization regime, but even on more- or less-sun-exposed portions of the same tree. This one is pendulous and almost mound-forming. It leafs out with mostly coppery tones, with some darker reds, then shades to green, keeping its prominent venation. Formerly known as 'Will's Devine'. Not much of an improvement, I'd say, considering the confusion caused by the re-naming. Some think it's also synomyous with 'Tiger Rose', others say it ain't so.

placed between mid-March and mid-June may take 3 weeks to ship. For faster
service, order in the fall, an excellent time to plant. We can ship in winter,
