New cultivars: Some newly offered cultivars MAY be added to our list after they leaf out around mid-April. Others, including small, rare, and hard to graft cultivars, may be added in September. Once a cultivar sells out, it remains so until the following spring.
|
|
Heat Stress: Mild temperatures are best for shipping and planting. Maples ordered in summer may have browned leaves, but this is only temporary. We'll delay shipments when temperatures exceed 90 F. Fall is the preferred time for planting; spring is the next best time. |

An extreme upright-growing new cultivar that can fit into a small garden even at 20', since it will be just 4' wide. And a good reason to have it there is its brilliant red fall color. Not much else is known about this rare maple, except that it is quite vigorous, a member of the Amoenum supspecies of Acer palmatum, having large, finely-toothed leaves that are shallowly to moderately divided. Summer color is bright green. Violates naming rules by mixing English and Japanese. Size
#1 trees ship after they leaf out, usually early to mid-April. |

Size
#3 trees are available beginning in September,
and can be ordered until March. They are shipped bare-root. These trees
are in limited supply; many cultivars are not avilable in this size.

We
ship with the US Postal Service. Shipping of more than 6 trees to postal
zones 5 and higher may incur a shipping surcharge that will not show up
in your shopping cart.
