New
cultivars:
Some newly offered cultivars MAY be added to our list after they leaf out
around mid-April. Others, including small, rare, and hard to graft cultivars,
may be added in September. Once a cultivar sells out, it remains so until
the following spring.
Maples ordered in summer may have burned leaves, and look bad, but this is only temporary. Still, spring and especially fall are far better times to ship and plant than summer. We'll delay shipments when temperatures exceed 90 F.
Pink and yellow variegated, but not too much, mainly on the edges of the lobes. Sometimes all the colors will darken a shade, yellow to light green, white to cream, and pink to cerise. Twiggy when mature, but open when young. Differs from 'Asahi zuru' in that the variegation is yellow, rather than white. Similar to 'Tennyo no hoshi'. About 10' tall, with an upright vase shape. Rare.

Orders
placed between mid-March and mid-June may take 3 weeks to ship. For faster
service, order in the fall, an excellent time to plant. We can ship in winter,
but read this to see if
