New cultivars: Some newly-offered cultivars MAY be added to our list after they leaf out around mid-April. Others, including small, rare, and hard to graft cultivars, may be added in September. Once a cultivar sells out, it remains so until the following spring.
|
|
Heat Stress: Mild temperatures are best for shipping and planting. Maples ordered in summer may have browned leaves, but this is only temporary. We'll delay shipments when temperatures exceed 90 F. Fall is the preferred time for planting; spring is the next best time. |

Another of the ubiquitous 'Bloodgood' progeny, this one shows off one of the finer charactistics of that ancestry, the blue cast when seen with light behind it. After emerging with a strong red, the leaves take on an attractive copper, rust, and green mottling during the summer, then change to reds and purples in the fall. Fairly vigorous growth to 15'. This is a newish American selection, not yet widely available. Size
#1 trees ship after they leaf out, usually early to mid-April. |

Size
#3 trees are available beginning in Septemer, and can be ordered until
March. They are shipped bare-root to save shipping cost. These trees are
in very limited supply; many cultivars are not availalable in this size..

We
