'Pixie' is often described as growing to 6', and with a name like
that, you would expect it to be small. But if the photo above is any
indication, maybe it should be renamed 'Piggie'. Still, people like
this tree. It's still very much smaller than 'Bloodgood', with
similar color, smaller leaves, more side branching, and nice
black-red bark. If you think it's red now, wait until fall.
