New
cultivars:
Some newly offered cultivars MAY be added to our list after they leaf out
around mid-April. Others, including small, rare, and hard to graft cultivars,
may be added in September. Once a cultivar sells out, it remains so until
the following spring.
Maples ordered in summer may have burned leaves, and look bad, but this is only temporary. Still, spring and especially fall are far better times to ship and plant than summer. We'll delay shipments when temperatures exceed 90 F.
A chameleon that begins very pale green with a pinkish or light brick red or orange overlay, then olive green with pink tones, then orange-gold in fall. A bushy shub to 10', wider than tall, with a stately, regular branching pattern. Cool enough to have been kept in cultivation since at least the 1730s, the name means something like "passing under a waterfall".
Size #1 trees ship after they leaf out, usually early to mid-April.
Orders
placed between mid-March and mid-June may take 3 weeks to ship. For faster
service, order in the fall, an excellent time to plant. We can ship in winter,
but read this to see if
it's a good idea for you.
