Maples ordered in summer may have burned leaves, and look bad, but this is only temporary. Still, spring and especially fall are far better times to ship and plant than summer. We'll delay shipments when temperatures exceed 90 F.

A tree with rough, textured, corky bark, similar to 'Arakawa' and 'Nishiki gawa'. Grows quckly to 15', but is also easily managed as a bonsai or container plant. The leaves are small and the branches horizontally layered, a very nice combination. "Ibo" means "warty", and the wartiness takes a few years to appear. Size #1 trees ship after they leaf out, usually early to mid-April. |

Size
#3 trees are available
beginning September 1, and can be ordered until March 1. They are shipped bare-root
to save shipping costs. These trees are in very limited supply; many cultivars
are not available in this size. |
Orders
placed between mid-March and mid-June may take 3 weeks to ship. For faster
service, order in the fall, an excellent time to plant. We can ship in winter,
but read this to see if
it's a good idea for you. |
