Geisha Gone Wild

New cultivars and larger sizes:

We now introduce new and selected rare cultivars in Sept., rather than with previously-offered cultivars in spring.
Size #2 trees are also available for ordering only after Sept. 1
.

Heat Stress:

Mild temperatures are best for shipping and planting. Maples ordered in summer may have browned leaves, but this is only temporary. We'll delay shipments when temperatures exceed 90 F. Fall is the preferred time for planting; spring is the next best time.

A more vigorous version of 'Geisha', with purple-pink, white and green coloration. Fall color is purple-orange. Grows to about 6'x3' in ten years. Believed to be of New Zealand origin and introduced by The Buchholz Nursery in Oregon. It described as hardy to USDA zone 6 (-10F). Limit of 2 per customer, please.

Size #1 trees ship after they leaf out, usually early to mid-April.

Size #3 trees are available beginning September 1, and can be ordered until March 1. They are shipped bare-root to save shipping costs. These trees are in very limited supply; many cultivars are not available in this size.
We ship with the US Postal Service. Shipping of more than 6 trees to postal zones 5 and higher may incur a shipping surcharge that will not show up in your shopping cart.
