New cultivars and larger sizes: We
now introduce new and selected rare cultivars in Sept., rather than with
previously-offered cultivars in spring.
|
Heat Stress: Mild temperatures are best for shipping and planting. Maples ordered in summer may have browned leaves, but this is only temporary. We'll delay shipments when temperatures exceed 90 F. Fall is the preferred time for planting; spring is the next best time. |

A colorful, bushy
true dwarf to only 3-4'. Leaves are deeply cut, rather large for a dwarf,
and cycle through amazing color changes during the year. These include
pink, rose, cream, and light and dark green in spring, and pink, orange,
and crimson in the fall. Best protected from hot sun and drying wind.
Introduced in New Zealand, but it has adapted to our hemisphere and
no longer needs to be planted upside-down. |

them until after they leaf out, usually around mid-April.

We
ship with the US Postal Service. Shipping of more than 6 trees to postal
zones 5 and higher may incur a shipping surcharge that will not show up
in your shopping cart.
