Maples ordered in summer may have burned leaves, and look bad, but this is only temporary. Still, spring and especially fall are far better times to ship and plant than summer. We'll delay shipments when temperatures exceed 90 F.

A
vigorous, relatively fast-growing cultivar, 'Garnet' will reach 10' or
more eventually, and will be true to its name if grown in sun, becoming
greener in shade. Its leaves are rather large and coarse for for a dissectum,
and hold their color well in summer. It is regarded by nurserymen as easy
to grow, and is one of the most popular varieties. Bright red in fall.
Similar to 'Inaba Shidare'.

Size
#2 trees are available
beginning September 1, and can be ordered until March 1. Starting in November,
they can be shipped bare-root to save shipping costs. These trees are in very
limited supply; many cultivars are not available in this size. |
Orders
placed between mid-March and mid-June may take 3 weeks to ship. For faster
service, order in the fall, an excellent time to plant. We can ship in winter,
but read this to see if it's a good idea for
you. |
