New cultivars:
Some newly offered cultivars MAY be added to our list after they leaf
out around mid-April. Others, including small, rare, and hard to graft
cultivars, may be added in September. Once a cultiver sells out, it
remains so until the following spring.
Maples ordered in summer may have burned leaves, and look bad, but this is only temporary. Still, spring and especially fall are far better times to ship and plant than summer. We'll delay shipments when temperatures exceed 90° F.
Also
known as 'Dissectum Flavescens', this tree is similar to the
cultivar 'Dissectum', except that it is more spreading and, most
noticeably,
is
markedly yellow-green in spring and early summer. In fact, the yellow
is so
pronounced that it has also been called 'Sulphureum' and 'Dissectum
Aureum'.
The color fades to a deeper green in summer, followed by a good yellow
in fall.
Imported from England in 1928, it is well-established as a vigorous
cultivar which
may reach in excess of 12' in height and perhaps 15' or more wide at
maturity. Similar in habit to 'Ellen', 'Seki mori', and 'Waterfall'.

out, usually early to mid-April.
Orders
placed between mid-March and mid-June may take 3 weeks to ship. For
faster service, order in the fall, an excellent time to plant. We can
ship in winter, but read
