Stress
Maples ordered in summer may have burned leaves, and look bad, but this is only temporary. Still, spring and especially fall are far better times to ship and plant than summer. We'll delay shipments when temperatures exceed 90 F.

A nice red linearilobum
type that appears slightly weeping because its leaves tend to hand down
from the branch. Perhaps better-than-average with regard to holding
its color, given morning sun, but may bronze in summer, as most red
linearilobums do. The leaves are a bit larger than most of this type,
and may have more of a tendency to put out palmate new growth (all do
this to some extent) but the leaves narrow on older growth. Bark is
dark brown. |

Size
#2 trees are available
beginning September 1, and can be ordered until March 1. Starting in November,
they can be shipped bare-root to save shipping costs. These trees are in very
limited supply; many cultivars are not available in this size.

Orders
placed between mid-March and mid-June may take 3 weeks to ship. For faster
service, order in the fall, an excellent time to plant. We can ship in winter,
but read this to see if
it's a good idea for you. |
