A clump-forming rhizomatous perennial from the Himilayas, similar to our own Solomon's Seal. Hanging tubular flowers on short stalks may be white, but are usually purplish red. Black-red berries follow in the fall. Grows to 3' tall by 1' wide in part shade, with bamboo-like stems. Unique woodland garden perennial to zone 4, also excellent in containers, with interest in various stages of growth. |
