New cultivars: Some newly grafted cultivars MAY be added to our list after they leaf out around mid-April. Others, including small, rare, and hard to graft cultivars, are added in September.

Heat
Stress
Maples ordered in summer may have burned leaves, and look bad, but this is only temporary. Still, spring and especially fall are far better times to ship and plant than summer. We'll delay shipments when temperatures exceed 90° F.

A laceleaf similar to, and believed by some to be identical with, 'Watnong', with leaves that are multicolored, green overlaid with crimson/orange in the spring and later when in part sun. A variety of oranges and reds predominate in fall. Don't like the name? Tell your friends it's called 'Crimson Dragon' or 'Ruby Jade'. They'll never know. New grafts ship after they leaf out, usually early to mid-April. |

Size #3 trees are
available beginning September 1, and can be ordered until March 1. They
are shipped bare-root to save shipping costs. These trees are in very
limited supply; many cultivars are not available in this size.
|
Orders
placed between mid-March and mid-June may take 3 weeks to ship. For
faster service, order in the fall, an excellent time to plant. We can
ship in winter, but read
this to see if it's a good idea for you. |
