Heat
Stress
Maples ordered in summer may have burned leaves, and look bad, but this is only temporary. Still, spring and especially fall are far better times to ship and plant than summer. We'll delay shipments when temperatures exceed 90 F.

Similar in many
respects to Brandt's Dwarf and Sharp's
Pygmy, but featuring dark brown shoots and a somewhat finer texture.
Very compact dwarf to about 3', good as bonsai, in containers, or in
a small garden. Salmon-pink new growth, turning light green, often with
reddish leaf tips and edges. Excellent orange in fall. |

Size
#2 trees are available
beginning September 1, and can be ordered until March 1. Starting in November,
they can be shipped bare-root to save shipping costs. These trees are in very
limited supply; many cultivars are not available in this size.

Orders
placed between mid-March and mid-June may take 3 weeks to ship. For faster
service, order in the fall, an excellent time to plant. We can ship in winter,
but read this to see if
it's a good idea for you. |
